H&P End of Financial Year Review

It’s certainly been an exciting year for H&P with lots of achievements and plenty of growth. To begin with, we’ve consolidated and expanded our presence across Europe. Our consultant coverage has increased to seven in the Benelux region and eight in the DACH region making us one of the biggest players in those respective legal markets. Our expertise across these regions has resulted in 110 successful placements.

Regarding our growth in the legal sphere, we have continued support with hires at over 15 high end U.S. law firms including Willkie Farr & Gallagher, Latham & Watkins, Sidley Austin and Sullivan & Cromwell. We’ve similarly maintained our strong reputation with the Magic Circle firms and several other global organisations with many more relationships developing.

Likewise, this year saw additional revenue growth come from our new in-house offering, so now we host moves between law firms and major corporates. Some of the leading global companies we have already started working with include Aareal bank, Aurelius private equity, Siemens and Amazon.

All of this led to H&P being awarded Best Legal Executive Search Firm for 2022 by the Legal Elite Awards! This recognition not only demonstrates our commitment to the legal sector but our increasing influence within it. For instance, Partner placements amongst the team accounted for roughly 20% of all we constructed this year.

In addition to our achievements in the legal sphere, H&P are active on both sides of the transactions. We have made successful placements into the field of private equity, venture capital and into global investment banks.

Whilst strengthening our presence across mainland Europe, we’ve also made ventures into new geographical areas including London, France and New York and are eager to expand further.

Our success is ultimately down to our talented team of experts. Since founding, our headcount has grown by 800% which has assisted our expansion into new sectors and locations. It has also led to our expansion into a shiny new office. This will be our fourth office in three years and we hope it can contain our future growth!

Our productive year has as such led to exciting rewards for our dedicated team. Throughout the year, we’ve been fortunate enough to dine at some of the best restaurants in London. From Michelin star Mayfair spots to Sky-scraping suppers at sunset, we give our team the very best. Our consultants have also earned perks such as picking up vouchers to spend on everything and anything from the latest iPhone to nights away in luxury London hotels! And all this went on alongside the usual Thursday and Friday night socials.

The Future:

With all that behind us, our prospects for 2022/2023 are looking incredible. Our consultants are already working on; opening up offices in new jurisdictions for top tier law firms, helping build the next industry unicorn, supplying talent on both sides of the dealmaking world and setting new recruitment industry standards.
