John Silavs

John is a Consultant within H&P’s European Private Equity practice, covering investor roles across the DACH region.

He specialises in mid-market Private Equity, placing professionals into investment teams with a focus on Investment Managers, Directors, and Partners. With two years’ experience recruiting across Private Capital and Investment Banking in both the DACH region and the UK, John has developed a strong understanding of the talent dynamics shaping Europe’s private equity landscape.

He partners with a range of clients, from first-time funds to pan-European mid-market leaders, supporting their long-term growth through strategic hiring. John holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, which he combines with an analytical mindset and extensive networking to deliver forward-looking talent insights to both clients and candidates.

Outside of work, John enjoys skiing and following ice hockey, and previously competed as a track runner.
