The Role
This is a full-lifecycle executive search role working on senior leadership placements. You will work closely with partners, senior stakeholders, and decision-makers on complex mandates, taking ownership from origination through to execution. The role combines commercial business development, advisory work, and delivery, with early responsibility and clear progression for those who perform.
You will be trained to operate as a market specialist, developing deep knowledge of your vertical and geography, and building long-term client and candidate relationships that translate into repeat, high-value work.
What You Will Be Doing
- Building and owning a defined market, developing strong relationships with senior legal professionals and decision-makers
- Originating and delivering executive search mandates across partner and senior leadership level hires
- Advising clients on hiring strategy, market conditions, and talent availability
- Managing complex, high-stakes negotiations through to successful completion
- Conducting detailed market mapping to support deep coverage and proactive outreach
- Running end-to-end search processes, from brief through to offer and close
- Representing H&P in client meetings, pitches, and senior-level conversations
- Working closely with internal partners, researchers, and leadership to deliver consistently high standards
What We Look For

- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in people and markets
- Sales, business development, consulting, legal, or recruitment experience is advantageous but not essential
- A degree at 2:1 or above is preferred but not required
- A competitive edge, whether developed through work, sport, or academic achievement
- Individuals who take ownership and are motivated by progression and reward
