Private Equity Analyst
We are collaborating with a German lower-middle market private equity firm based in Hamburg, which predominately focuses on B2B companies. The firm is actively seeking a Private Equity Analyst to join its high-performing team, offering a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic and successful environment.
Position Overview
As an Investment Analyst, you will be an essential contributor to the entire investment process, from sourcing opportunities to driving value creation in portfolio companies. This role provides the chance to collaborate with experienced professionals while developing your expertise in mid-market private equity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis and due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
- Build and refine detailed financial models to support investment decisions.
- Assist in deal structuring, negotiations, and execution of transactions.
- Collaborate with portfolio company leadership to drive strategic and operational improvements.
- Work closely with senior team members on sourcing new opportunities and managing the investment pipeline.
- Monitor market and industry trends to identify high-potential investment prospects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; MBA or similar postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- 1–3 years of experience in Investment Banking, MBB, private equity, M&A, or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
- A detail-oriented and self-driven professional who thrives in collaborative environments.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling tools.
- Native-level fluency in German and strong proficiency in English.
