Senior Coverage Counsel – Florida
We’re seeking an experienced insurance attorney to serve as a strategic legal advisor on insurance and warranty product innovation, design, coverage, and specialty insurance matters across the groups admitted, surplus lines, and warranty/service contract businesses.
This hands-on role partners with Underwriting, Product, Claims, Regulatory, Reinsurance, Operations, and business leadership to develop and interpret policy and contract language, advise on coverage and claims issues, assess legal and regulatory risk, and support the launch and administration of new products and programs.
The ideal candidate has deep experience with specialty insurance, admitted and surplus lines products, warranty/service contracts, coverage drafting and interpretation, claims disputes, and state insurance regulatory considerations. We’re looking for a practical business-minded attorney who understands how insurance products work in the real world and can deliver clear, actionable guidance in a fast-moving environment.
Qualifications
• J.D. and active U.S. bar membership
• 5+ years of insurance law experience
• Strong background in coverage, claims, specialty insurance, warranty/service contracts, or product counseling
• Experience drafting and interpreting policy language and advising on product structure and regulatory issues
• Excellent research, drafting, and communication skills with the ability to work directly with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams.
