      Who are H&P?

      H&P (H&P Executive Search) is a fast-growth legal executive search firm, founded in 2019, placing senior legal talent for law firms, corporates and financial institutions across the UK, US and Europe. We’re building a high-performance firm with a global reach and a challenger mindset — and we’re growing at around 50% year on year.

      What is executive search, and how is it different from recruitment?

      Recruitment is often reactive and volume-driven — filling active vacancies, frequently on a contingent basis. Executive search is proactive and consultative: we’re engaged to find senior, often hard-to-reach talent, mapping the market and approaching people directly rather than waiting for applications. As a consultant here, you’re an adviser managing senior mandates end to end, not processing CVs.

      What is legal executive search specifically?

      It’s executive search focused on the legal market — placing partners, teams and General Counsel for law firms and in-house legal functions. Our consultants specialise by practice area and geography, building deep expertise in a defined market (for example German or Benelux legal) so they become genuine experts in it.

      Do I need recruitment or legal experience to join?

      Not necessarily. We hire both experienced consultants and people new to search, and our Graduate Academy is built to take people with no recruitment background to their first deal — several of our consultants closed their first 360 deal within months of joining. What matters most is ambition, commercial thinking, and drive. You don’t necessarily need a degree – but you should be ambitious and motivated to work in a sales environment!

      Our roles are currently based in London and Miami, working on mandates across Europe, North America and APAC. Our London office is based in the prestigious Heron Tower in Liverpool Street, and our Miami office is in the waterfront Brickell district.
