Austin is a Principal Consultant within H&P’s US Private Practice Legal team, leading the firm’s Construction and EPC practice.

He specialises in strategic private practice laterals to support Energy, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, Utilities, P3, and major public and private projects. Austin partners with firms on Associate, Counsel, and Partner-level appointments, helping them strengthen existing teams and position themselves for long-term growth.

While his work spans the US market, Austin has developed particularly strong networks across Florida, Texas, and Washington, D.C. He works closely with Construction and EPC groups within leading AmLaw firms, supporting mandates driven by practice expansion, market demand, and industry developments.

Prior to focusing on private practice legal recruitment, Austin worked across the US offshore and onshore wind sector, partnering with Independent Power Producers, developers, and asset owners. This experience gives him a unique understanding of the full lifecycle of infrastructure and energy projects, allowing him to engage credibly with the lawyers who advise on them.

Originally from the countryside and now based in London, Austin enjoys escaping the city at weekends to enjoy the outdoors, preferably with a lager in hand.
