Antitrust & Competition Associate/Counsel
H&P is working exclusively with a leading international law firm renowned for its sophisticated cross-border Antitrust & Competition practice. The firm is looking to add an Associate or Counsel-level lawyer (0–8 years PQE) to its growing team in North Rhine-Westphalia.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a dynamic and international legal environment, advising some of the world’s most prominent corporates and financial institutions on complex EU and German competition law matters.
The Role
You will be advising on a wide range of competition matters including:
- Merger control filings at both German and EU levels

Cartel investigations and leniency applications

Abuse of dominance and vertical restraints

Competition litigation, including damages actions and appeals

Compliance audits and training for multinational clients

Involvement in multi-jurisdictional transactions, working closely with international teams

What We’re Looking For

Fully qualified German lawyer with two state exams (each with a grade of 8 or above)

0–8 years of relevant PQE in EU/German competition law at a reputable law firm or authority

A genuine passion for antitrust law, with a strategic and commercial approach to client advice

Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and motivation to build long-term client relationships
