Capital Markets Software Developer

H&P are working with a leading quantitative trading technology provider, who is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join their team in Singapore. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-performance trading systems in a fast-paced and innovative environment. My client is at the forefront of electronic trading, leveraging proprietary in-house technology to drive innovation and efficiency in financial markets.

About the role:

As part of the Software Development Team, you will:

  • Design and develop critical components for trading systems
  • Write high-performance C++ code for low-latency applications
  • Utilise Python for scripting, automation, and integration tasks
  • Continuously improve and optimise trading infrastructure to meet evolving market demands
  • Ensure system reliability and performance through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting

Developers at the firm take full ownership of their systems, providing second-line support to maintain performance and resolve issues post-deployment. During critical upgrades and new deployments, engineers also assume first-line support responsibilities to ensure system stability and a seamless transition.

Working closely with traders and engineers, you will help advance market data processing, trade execution, algorithmic trading frameworks, and risk management tools.

My client is looking for the following:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in C++ development
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation
  • Experience in low-latency or high-throughput systems
  • Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

If you come from a capital markets background, my client is specifically looking for someone with experience in options or market connectivity.
