About the Role:

H&P Executive has been mandated by a Top BigLaw firm to appoint a PE and M&A Partner. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing corporate group with strong national and international deal flow.

The firm is a long-established Am Law leader with a strong reputation in Private Equity, cross-border M&A, and complex corporate transactions. With sustained growth across its New York office, the partnership is investing in strategic hires to expand its sponsor-facing capabilities. This hire will play a key role in strengthening the firm’s core Corporate practice and supporting major client relationships.

• Position: PE and M&A Partner
• Compensation: Highly competitive New York partner package, including performance-based upside
• Location: New York (Hybrid)

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Private Equity and M&A transactions across buyout, growth equity, and strategic corporate deals
• Manage complex negotiations, deal structuring, and cross-border execution
• Develop and expand relationships with PE sponsors, corporates, and investment banks
• Collaborate with Tax, Finance, Funds, and Restructuring to deliver integrated client service
• Contribute to practice growth through business development and thought leadership

 

Key Projects

• Advising on large-cap and mid-market Private Equity buyouts
• Leading cross-border M&A transactions involving multiple jurisdictions

 

What You Bring

• 10+ years’ experience in Private Equity and M&A within a leading US law firms
• Strong track record executing complex corporate transactions
• Ability to originate, manage, and expand client relationships
• Portable relationships, commercial judgement, leadership capability, and collaborative working style
• J.D. and admission to the New York Bar
